REEL REAL FAMILY MOMENTS

MORNING TIME

  • Ask “What are you most looking forward to for today?”

  • Remind yourselves of what values your family has. (Example: “We are kind. We tell the truth. We work hard.”)

  • Take turns encouraging one another for your day (think cheerleader).

  • Have everyone pick one thing they hope to accomplish during the day.

  • Tell stories of how God helped you overcome a fear or another difficult situation.

  • How to Teach Kids About Positive Self Image

  • Create a Rhythm - Morning Time


DRIVE TIME

  • Turn up a worship song in the car and everyone sing as loud as you can.

  • As you’re driving around with your family, pick people on the road and pray over them together out loud.

  • Talk about family memories that make you laugh. 

  • Play a game of “I Spy” as you drive along.

  • Listen to the Sunday sermon in the car; take time to pause, and talk about it as a family.

MEAL TIME

  • Recap the day by asking what the high and low points were of the day.

  • Dream together what a family’s future could be.

  • Take turns sharing one thing you’re thankful for.

  • Talk about your all-time favorite meals.

  • Talk about current events and how they relate to your family.

BED TIME

  • Read a Bible story from the Bible App for Kids, The Jesus Storybook Bible, The Action Bible, or another Bible Storybook.

  • Take time to have members of your family pray out loud for another member of the family.

  • Have everyone share what you most appreciate about one another.

  • Have each member of your family share a person outside of the family they are thankful for and the reason why they are thankful.

  • Share one verse from the Bible (can be from that week’s sermon) and talk about its meaning. 

  • Create a Rhythm - Bed Time
